People can roll their eyes at others who are in long distance relationships and say that it’s pointless or not worth the effort. But to those people I say: there is not greater testament to love than to be able to survive thousands of miles apart. That is not to say that it will be easy or that there won’t be moments of weakness and frustration, but it IS to say that two people don’t have to spend every waking moment with each other in order to feel love. That a heart can melt just by hearing someone’s voice, even if looking into their eyes isn’t possible. It means that convenience doesn’t make a relationship. It means that you’ve chosen one person and that person is yours no matter how far life has taken you from one another.
